In this lesson, we learn about the most important distribution in statistics - the normal distribution.  We investigate the probability density function and cumulative distribution function and the effect of the mean and variance on them.  The idea of the standard normal distribution is explained, and the Empirical Rule is given.  We close with an application of using the normal distribution to approximate probabilities from a binomial distribution.
